Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has admitted Mason Mount was forced off with an injury at half-time in their 2-1 defeat at Brighton & Hove Albion.
“It’s a decision, he has some issues,” Ten Hag said.
“We know Mason’s history, so we took him off, but I thought it would be better to bring Joshua (Circze) on because we were behind and I thought he had a good impact on the game.”
Speaking about the first defeat of the season, Ten Hag added: “It’s very disappointing, especially when you control the game for the most part.”
“We controlled the game with possession and it was going our way. We conceded two unnecessary goals that could have been avoided.”
“I thought it was a really good part of the game. We had a lot of possession, we created a lot of good chances. We showed resilience in coming back and scoring the winner. ufabet http://ufabet999.app We thought it was the winner.”
“It’s a pity, but we have to accept it. It’s disappointing, but I will take a lot of positives from the performance.”
“But we have to learn. You can’t drop points unnecessarily. If you keep goals like that, you drop points. Top football is about the little details. We have to be better on the occasions.”
